To help, here you’ll discover some of the must-see places in Vancouver you won’t want to miss.

Stanley Park
No trip to Vancouver would be complete without a visit to Stanley Park. Known to be one of the largest urban parks within North America, it has plenty to see and do while you’re there. From romantic horse-drawn carriage rides around the park, to strolling along the longest waterfront paths, you’ll love exploring this stunning area.

There are even beaches, a lake and lagoon, making it a particularly great place to visit if you’re travelling in the hotter months.

Vancouver Aquarium
If you’re looking for the perfect family-friendly attraction, the Vancouver Aquarium is highly recommended. There are over 50,000 creatures to see, and each day the aquarium puts on several shows. You especially won’t want to miss the shark, sea otter and dolphin shows. If you really want an unforgettable trip, you can also choose to partake in a hands-on experience. There’s even a 4D Experience Theatre which is something you’ll definitely want to try out during your trip.

The aquarium is situated within Stanley Park, just minutes from the downtown area. It’s open every day of the year and if you want to experience any of the animal encounters, you’ll need to book in advance.

For many people, Gastown is one of the highlights of a Vancouver holiday. Known to be the city’s oldest neighbourhood, it offers plenty of fascinating things to see and do. While you’re there, check out the steam clock, enjoy a coffee in one of the great little cafés such as Revolver, and enjoy a spot of shopping in one of the many quirky stores in the area.

Capilano Suspension bridge
If you prefer a more adventurous getaway, the Capilano suspension bridge is definitely an experience you won’t want to miss. Situated around 25 minutes from the city centre, this is one of the oldest and most beautiful bridges in the area. It leads onto a stunning cliff walk, enabling you to really lose yourself in nature. You can book adventure style Vancouver getaways from companies such as Exodus Travels.

As you can see, there’s lots of different types of things to see and do in Vancouver. No matter who you are travelling with and what type of holiday you prefer to enjoy, you’ll find something in this great city to suit your preferences.
