A bath-time treat for a busy bee: If you’re a mum, it’s safe to say you are a busy little bee! Between looking after the children and the home, other family and work commitments, it’s a wonder we get any time to ourselves and it’s so important to carve out time for you – the Queen Bee!
I have been a busy bee lately. So this week I took an evening out for myself, to catch up on some pampering and seek out a few products that are great little multi-taskers, to help me save time on my beauty routine.
Burt’s Bees is a 30 year old American company who believe in only using the best that nature has to offer in its products. They started off making beeswax candles then moved into lip balm and other personal care products followed from there. The lip balm became a best-seller and still is to this day, but now their product range includes facial treatments, bath oils and lip colours! Burt’s Bees is cruelty-free but not 100% vegan, meaning that some of their products contain animal-derived ingredients.
I headed off to Boots where they had a great range, but you can also buy Burt’s Bees in Holland & Barrett and online. They had some great pampering products and I came away with the Super Shiny Conditioner with Mango; Fabulously Fresh Peppermint & Rosemary Body Wash; Vitamin E Body Oil; Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream and Beeswax Lip Balm.
It’s so important to take a little time out for our own well-being. I’m as guilty as the next person of trying to do too much but my body tells me when it’s had enough and as I’m getting older I’m learning to listen! So occasional treats like this help me to feel like I am at the top of my ‘To Do’ list just as much as the other more energy draining tasks are!
Feeling restored again, I want to share a few products with you that will act as perfect multi-taskers in your beauty kit. I love products that do more than one thing as they help save time in a beauty routine and mean less weight to carry round in the toiletry bag… and these clever products are from Burt’s Bees!
You can find the whole Burt’s Bees product range at their website

Love your new look blog! Burts Bees is a lovely range, I have very dry skin and get on well with it.
These look lush and your description makes me want to have a home pamper evening. Not that there’s a chance in this busy bee’s life for a little while yet. 🙂
Oh and I LOVE your photos Nadine. Very artistic and enticing indeed. I reckon the company need to pay you for these.
Aww thanks Monika! I’ve been trying really hard with my photography, I was proud if these shots too! Hope you get a little me time soon…
I agree with Monika the photos are superb. Seeing the product oozed out of the bottle makes me want to dive in. I was given a pack with about 5 samples in, when Aaron was a newborn, and I used them so so much on him till they ran out. My SIL even associated the smell with Aaron. I’d never ever thought of using them on myself so you’ve really taught me something. I hadn’t seen this #shop somehow but it’s lovely. Well done on a great post.
Liska xx
Burts Bees are one of my favourite brands. I particularly like their lip salve.
Burts Bees have such amazing products. I’ve not tried any of these ones but I love the peppermint lip balm and their foot moisturiser. I always feel so pampered after using these products.
I love this brand, all natural too, the power of bees!
Love Burt’s Bees products, I always have something from them on the go. At the moment it is the foot cream which is great for tired tootsies like mine!
I have not had many items from Burt’s Bees but they do seem to have a good amount of items to try.
Thanks for all your comments! I love to find new beauty products and it’s great to hear there are so many Burt’s Bees fans out there!
You certainly have been a busy bee!! I don’t think I’ve heard of Burt’s Bees before – they certainly don’t look familiar, but I’ll be looking out for them next time I’m out shopping x

I’ve used the Burt’s Bees lip balm before and it’s great. These products all look very good too.
I love how the conditioner can double up as a shaving cream!
I love Burts Bees and really need to get some more. I adore your pictures although I would be twitchy about wasting it lol
haha that made me laugh Kara! I too hate waste so you’ll be glad to know I carefully scooped it back into the bottle afterwards!!
Nadine, I agree, a little pampering session for ourselves is a necessity and a must and should be done on a regular basis, to keep us sane and well! I do have loads of similar products home but I find it hard to put the time aside to use them! thank you for the encouragement!xx
Oh what an absolute treat Nadine, especially having been so busy. You’ve just reminded me I haven’t done a pamper session for ages, must rectify that! x
