How to make a turkey & cranberry wreath: With Christmas fast approaching, here is a fab little recipe to have in your stockpile.
This turkey and cranberry ring is so easy to make and looks super impressive. It’s a tasty idea for those turkey leftovers at Christmas or to whip up for a party!
Here’s what you need:
Ingredients:
6 Tablespoons mayonnaise
2 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/2 Teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
225g Skinless, boneless cooked turkey
3 Tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
85g Sweetened dried cranberries
85g Gruyere cheese
2 Packets (240g each) chilled fresh ready-to-bake dough for six croissants
1 Egg white
20g Walnuts, chopped
Method:
Preheat oven to 190 degrees fan / Gas 5
Using a measuring spoon, measure 6 tablespoons of mayonnaise into a bowl and add the mustard and black pepper too
Chop cooked turkey into small bite sized pieces and add to the bowl. Chop parsley and add in too
Grate the cheese into the bowl then add in the cranberries. Mix well
Take your baking tray or cooking stone and unroll the croissant dough onto it. Arrange the triangles in a circle on the tray/stone with the wide ends overlapping in the centre and pointed ends towards the outside. Press together the edges of the triangles using a rolling pin to seal.
Spoon the turkey mixture evenly onto the widest part of the dough triangles. Bring the points of the triangles up over the filling and tuck it under the wide ends of the dough at the centre of the ring. The filling should not be completely covered.
Lightly beat the egg white and brush over the dough. Sprinkle chopped walnuts over the top
Bake 25-30 minutes or until cooked and golden brown. Slice into sections with a pizza cutter or sharp knife and serve
