Christmas jumpers are meant to be naff. Thing is, I don’t ‘do’ naff. I wanted to find a way to join in the Christmas jumper fun without sacrificing style, so I went down the ‘rock chick route!
Have a look at my Christmas jumper last year:
I loved this jumper, but after packing up all my clothes this summer to undergo a bedroom redesign at home, I can’t seem to find my lovely sparkly ‘Elfie Selfie’ Christmas jumper so I had to buy a new one!
This is my new jumper and I funked it up a bit!
Here’s what I did: (Before, during and after!)
Take one jumper (This one is from Not on the High Street and cost £34.00); get some iron on glitter transfers and cut the strips to size. I chose to use the strips within the work ROCK on this design which says: “Jingle Bell Rock”. Then cover the design with a tea towel and hold a hot iron over the area for 30 seconds until the transfer sticks. Leave the glitter in place for 5 minutes then pull off the backing paper!
I teamed the jumper with a red tartan shirt for added interest and a pair of black trousers. I’m really happy with it. I’m off out now in this outfit for Christmas drinks with the family so have a great Christmas everyone!
I love that jumper!! It has added sparkle without taking away from the edginess
Yes! That’s exactly what I thought!
I don’t do christmas jumpers either but love this – hope you have a fab christmas xx
