Introjuicing a blogger event! I didn’t make a New Year’s fitness resolution this year. My only goal for 2015 was to learn about coding – but I did rather enjoy getting all healthy and bendy in Leeds recently at a blogger event run by Curry’s called ‘Introjuicing’!
I have always loved a bit of yoga. I find that I’m still quite supple and flexible because of all the stretching and strength poses that it involves. But I have to confess that I did get an attack of the giggles during the ‘downward dog’ when I looked back at Helen from Casa Costello and Hayley from Get Out And See Stuff. We were all laughing and joking and being about as un- ‘zen’ like as you can be. That’s my legs framing the shot (nice) and Helen is in the purple dress and Hayley was in blue. The photo is blurry because my hand is shaking from laughing too much. I can’t even remember what about, but it’s like when you are supposed to be quiet then you can’t stop laughing!
I can’t possibly concentrate on focusing inward when there were all those bloggers to talk to!
The event was to showcase the range of juicers that were displayed and we had a mix of demonstrations by the experts and a chance to have a play ourselves. It’s just as well that the experts handed out samples of the juices they created as the concoction that I made tasted like frothy bin juice. I really shouldn’t be left to my own devices when it comes to food – I need a recipe to follow. This is why I share loads of recipes on my YouTube channel – I always like a proper plan!
I don’t even know what I did wrong with my recipe but luckily I have a tried and tested proper recipe to share which came from the event! This one is good for promoting a healthy glow!
Juice recipe for radiant skin:
- 2-3 carrots
- 1 apple
- 1 red pepper – seeds removed
- ½ inch ginger root
- ½ teaspoon flaxseed oil
All you do is bung it all in the juicer, one part at a time then pour into a glass and enjoy.
The event was a lot of fun and at least I got to wear my new workout gear. I always pick up a few pieces of spandex in the January sales (insider tip: supermarket ranges usually have sportswear on sale at this time of year or if not on sale, at much lower prices than the traditional sports shops.)
At least some of the healthy living vibe from the day has rubbed off… I’ve been for a run and to zumba since then!
