Here’s a quick and easy recipe for Slimming World chocolate cake in a mug. Otherwise known as 1 minute cake! It really does only take one minute in the microwave, and here’s how it’s done.
Having a special meal usually involves a pudding and this can de-rail many dieters, but I have a fantastic solution and it won’t ruin your weight loss efforts! I fancied up this cake a bit to make it special for Valentine’s Day which is why I called it a ‘Love pud’ but of course it is just a nice dessert that you can have any time!
It has three ingredients:
1 egg
1 sachet of Highlights or Options or other low cal chocolate drink (40 calories)
Sweetener to taste.
Then the topping is made of:
Quark
Natural Fat Free Fromage Frais
Strawberries and Raspberries to decorate
Watch the video to see how easy it is and if you know of other low fat puddings, please share them in the comments below!
Ooooh Nadine this is going to be a must try!!! I have included it in my National Chocolate Week post xx
Ooh great – thanks Kirsty!

I think your slimming world recipes are fab – I have gone all old school and printed this one out too!
haha nothing wrong with old school!!
This sounds brilliant! I tend to have a bit of a sweet tooth, but having lost a lot of weight after the baby recently, I don’t want to put it back on! I will make this in the future! (:
Well done one losing the baby weight!
this looks good – I have just started slimming world so will be giving this a go when I need a chocolate fix xx
It’s good to have some chocolate fixes up your sleeve!
I keep meaning to make a mug cake like this and not getting round to it, but my tummy just growled at your pictures so I must stop putting it off! x
mmm, this look delicious and so quick to make as well. My kind of pud!
It is super quick to make… that suits me too!
I tried to make this and It came out more like chocolate scrambled eggs. Do I need to add flour?
Hi Lizz
No – you don’t add flour! To be honest it can come off a little eggy, which is why it’s not for everyone but I know many people who enjoy it as a chocolate treat.
If you prefer a proper ‘cake’ consistency, then there are some great cake recipes on the Slimming World website – they are several syns, maybe 6 or 7 per slice depending on what you go for but it is an alternative! Hope that helps!
