I adore this dish – it is so easy to make and tastes very naughty but it isn’t!
Whilst following a slimming plan – any plan, I think it is important to factor in little treats, so that your journey is not ‘all or nothing’. Yes, you may lose weight quicker if you stick to salads and no treats (or you may not – sometimes it can act against you to not have a more varied diet!) But I know that if I get my sweet tooth fix now and again, I will be more likely to stick with the plan and not go off the rails. I have denied myself in the past and it never works – ultimately at some stage my inner toddler rebels, stamps her feet and demands all the food she has declared off limits, then eats them all at once!
So let me share with you a tasty, sweet treat that is also guilt free! It compliments the Slimming World plan (which is the one I follow) and is only 4.5 Syn per portion!
Ingredients:
Method:
Once the fruit has been baked in the oven for about 30 minutes, spoon it into individual ramekins then crush one Amaretti biscuit over the top of each ramekin (the amaretti are only 1 syn per biscuit!) Then, return the ramekins to the oven, uncovered for a further 10 minutes.
When done, remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool (or enjoy warm if you can’t wait and are careful of the hot fruit!) This is great with a dollop of fat free fromage frais on the top (Syn free) as a nice end to a meal.
Do you have a sweet tooth? How do you get your fix in a slimming friendly way? Let me know!
I am not a fan of fromage frais – will I get away with custard or is that too calorific?
Yes you can have custard that’s ok! If you are on Slimming World then you will have to Syn the custard and it is 4.5 Syns per 100g which is why I tend to go for fromage frais as it is free!! You could also put some fat free Greek yogurt on it for free too! yay!
I love cobblers! This one looks delicious, thanks for sharing 🙂
Mmm it really is gorgeous! 🙂
OH wow these look amazing, love how healthy they are too! Going to try these x
They are sooo delicious! But I did think that they tasted better on the day I made them than the one I re-heated the next day did! x
These look lovely, I love amaretti biscuits.

Sounds good- I’m on slimming world at the moment and I have some friends coming for dinner. I don’t like using artificial sweetener so can I just miss it out?
Thanks
Absolutely – it won’t taste as sweet obviously, but you can adjust this recipe to suit your own tastes.
