It’s almost Halloween, the scariest night of the year and I have been busy getting prepared.
The multipack sweets are on my shopping list and I have been looking at the cute white pumpkins at the supermarket for a more unusual home decoration, but this year I am also practising my face painting skills to give my son a scary makeover!
Previous Halloween years have seen him enjoy dressing up as a werewolf – he has also been a ghoul and a skeleton too but he really enjoyed the wolf! However this year he is much more into gaming and so we are giving him a kind of ‘Five Night’s at Freddy’s’ style makeover with his new toy – the Feisty Pets!
Feisty Pets is a range of cute looking toys such as a nice teddy bear, but don’t get too close – this bear bites! When you stroke the back of their head, you can give it a squeeze to display a scary devil face, and after releasing the head – the face goes back to cute normality!
My son loves this toy and it has given us all some chuckles in the house as we have introduced Feisty Pets to everyone. If you are old enough to remember the horror character ‘Chucky’ from the slasher movies of the same name, you will get an idea of what the Feisty Pets are like!
We created a Feisty Pets style cat face for Halloween with Snazeroo Face Paints! This kit comes with 8 different face paint colours to create loads of different looks and they wash off easily with soap and water. The kit contains a booklet which shows you how to do different looks including a dog, a lion, a cute cat or a flowery festival face but we didn’t want cute face painted kids at a school fete…. We wanted scary faces with some bite!
Here’s how we created a Halloween cat!
If you follow this tutorial and paint your own children’s faces for Halloween, join in on social media and share their painted faces with the hashtag #MyFeistyPetFace. You can see all the different looks people have chosen for a scary Halloween.
Feisty Pets are RRP £14.99 and there are four to collect in the range: Unicorn; dog; bear (Sir Growls-A-Lot – we have this one) and cat (Princess Pottymouth – we have this one). Available from Argos and Smyths Toy Superstore.
We were sent the Feisty Pet toys and Snazaroo Face Paints for the purpose of this review.
