This weekend sees the return of The Balance Festival, the first get together of wellness brands and fitness favourites in two years!
I went for the opening day yesterday and it was fabulous to reconnect with the festival, brands I love and also to find new and up and coming wellness brands of which there were plenty!
The Balance Festival is in its fourth year. The first three festivals were 2017; 2018 and 2019 then Covid struck. I went along in 2018 and this year seemed bigger and buzzier than ever. I think it was such a relief to be back and connecting again after 18 + months in isolation.
So what’s new this year?
The ultimate ride series by Boom Cycle. Expect giant glitter cannons, high bass, banging tunes and a ride you’ll never forget! I walked past one of these sessions yesterday and can vouch for the energy. The instructor was full of vim and was flanked by dancers either side, adding to the party atmosphere in the room.
In addition to this, delegates can also book classes from Barry’s, Third Space, F45, KXU, Barrecore and Virgin Active.
Also new this time are The Mindful Drinking Zone and the Feelgood Kitchen.
In the Mindful Drinking Zone, you can sample delicious No + Lo alcohol cocktails developed by cocktail mastermind Camille Vidal. I loved this idea as I don’t drink very often myself and when socialising, I tend to stick with the same old non alcoholic favourites, but they are only favourites because until now there has been no real alternative. I liked learning about new drink brands which look exactly as enticing as the alcohol based drinks you can get when out.
At the Feelgood Kitchen you can tuck into restaurant-quality, nutrient-packed dishes. Think aromatic coconut curry and no-pasta vegan lasagne.
